Centring Women in Digital Transformation

5 March | 9:30 a.m. (New York)

How can digital transformation and AI accelerate gender equality—rather than deepen existing gaps?

Join us on 5 March at 9:30 a.m. (New York) for Rewriting the Code: Collective Action to Center Women in the Digital Workplace Transformation, part of the 2026 Countdown to International Women’s Day learning journey.

As digital transformation and AI adoption accelerate, the private sector faces a pivotal choice: design technologies and workplaces that are inclusive by intention—or risk reinforcing systemic gender bias and exclusion. Persistent gaps in digital access, skills, leadership and decision-making, combined with bias embedded in emerging technologies, threaten to leave women behind in the future of work.

This 60-minute live session explores how companies can act individually and collectively to center women in digital transformation strategies. Business leaders and experts will share practical approaches to closing digital gender divides, increasing women’s participation and leadership in tech and AI-related roles, and designing, deploying and governing technologies in ways that uphold human rights and mitigate bias.

Participants will gain actionable insights, real-world examples and collaborative approaches to embedding gender equality into digital strategy, workforce transformation and technology development—ensuring digital progress is equitable, responsible and fit for the future of work.

Live interpretation will be provided in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Italian and Turkish.
